Private Advertiser in Shah Alam is seeking a Director of Machining Operations & Engineering to lead a high-precision manufacturing facility serving the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries.

The role is a senior leadership position responsible for operational performance, manufacturing efficiency, quality, safety, cost control and people development, leading a multi-functional team across production, machining and engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or related discipline.
10+ years manufacturing experience with machining or precision environments.
5+ years leading manufacturing or plant operations teams.
Strong CNC machining and precision manufacturing process knowledge.
Experience managing budgets, resources and KPIs.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall operations of a high-precision manufacturing facility including production, machining, engineering and support.
Oversee CNC machining operations: planning, programming, setup, troubleshooting and optimisation.
Drive productivity, quality, delivery, cost, safety and efficiency across the plant.
Lead and develop production managers, supervisors, engineers, technicians and operators.
Set production priorities, capacity plans and schedules to meet customer needs.
Collaborate with planning, supply chain, quality and engineering to improve processes and capacity.
Implement continuous improvement and Lean initiatives; ensure compliance with standards.
Oversee workforce planning, training, performance management and succession planning.
Monitor costs and resource use; analyze KPIs and take corrective actions.
Provide regular updates to senior management and contribute to strategy.
