Job summary

YCP Group in Malaysia seeks a Director/Manager to lead end-to-end client projects, with accountability for multiple modules and engagement success. You will work closely with C-suite stakeholders to shape strategies and drive cross-border advisory outcomes.

The role offers high ownership, opportunities to build a practice, and to influence firm strategy and talent development within the Management Service Division (MSD). The position is based in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent master’s degree from a top-tier school.
• Experience levels: 0–2 years (Analyst), 3–5 years (Associate), 5–7 years (Manager), 7+ years (Director).
• Experience in strategy/management consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, audit, law, or related fields is required.
• For Directors & Managers, Big 4 at Manager level or above with internal promotion track record, or strategy firm with 3–5+ years will be considered.
• English at business level or above.
• Native-level proficiency in a local language (e.g., Japanese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay).
• Demonstrated C‑suite/board‑level advisory capability and executive presence.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client projects with full delivery accountability.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and client engagements.
• Build long-term relationships with client C‑suite and decision-makers.
• Establish and codify practice areas; contribute to thought leadership.
• Contribute to firm management and hiring, training, knowledge management.
• Represent YCP at industry events and conferences.
• Develop and elevate team capability across the organisation.
