Job summary

BDO Malaysia is seeking an experienced Manager/Associate Director to lead the Tax Advisory practice. You will oversee complex engagements, provide high-level technical and commercial advice, and develop new business opportunities with senior client stakeholders.

You will mentor teams, collaborate across service lines, and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws while delivering value to clients across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in tax advisory in a professional practice environment.
• Degree in Accounting or equivalent with professional qualification.
• Membership in a recognized professional body preferred (MIA/CTIM).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a portfolio of complex tax advisory engagements with high quality outcomes.
• Provide strategic tax advice on restructurings, M&A, cross-border matters and other transactions.
• Advise on Malaysian and international tax issues, incl. transfer pricing and compliance.
• Mentor and develop managers and team members for technical growth.
