AGENSI PEKERJAAN TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced Director to lead its precision machining and manufacturing business in Malaysia.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight to deliver sustainable growth, optimize processes, and bolster capabilities across CNC, milling, and multi-axis machining. You will own the P&L, guide NPI and international transfers, and work with global teams to expand capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in precision machining or manufacturing with leadership

Director – Machining & Manufacturing - CNC/Precision - Immediate Hiring!

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead and transform a precision machining business in Malaysia. This role is responsible for defining business strategy, driving operational excellence, strengthening technical capabilities, and delivering sustainable and profitable growth. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in precision machining with strong business acumen, financial ownership, and transformational leadership. You will lead manufacturing operations, oversee business performance, drive new product introduction (NPI) and international manufacturing transfers, and develop the capabilities required to support future expansion in advanced manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

Lead the overall business strategy, operational performance, and profitable growth of the precision machining business in Malaysia.

Establish business objectives, performance targets, and strategic initiatives to strengthen competitiveness and market positioning.

Drive business transformation, challenge existing practices, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability.

Build and develop a strong leadership team to support business growth and long‑term organisational success.

Provide technical leadership across CNC machining, milling, turning/lathe, multi‑axis machining, tooling, fixturing, and process optimisation.

Oversee manufacturing performance, including productivity, capacity utilisation, product quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.

Take full ownership of business performance, including profit and loss (P&L), operating costs, productivity, capital expenditure, and financial results.

Lead new product introduction, industrialisation, and manufacturing transfers from international facilities to Malaysia.

Develop the long‑term technology, automation, equipment, and capital investment roadmap.

Work closely with global Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to achieve business and customer objectives.

About you

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

At least 10 years of experience in precision machining or manufacturing, including significant leadership responsibility.

Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning/lathe, multi‑axis machining, tooling, fixturing, and precision manufacturing processes.

Proven experience leading a machining or manufacturing business with full or substantial P&L and financial responsibility.

Demonstrated track record in new product introduction (NPI), industrialisation, capacity expansion, and international manufacturing transfers.

Experience in semiconductor, aerospace, precision engineering, industrial equipment, or other high‑precision manufacturing environments is preferred.

Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to translate technical decisions into business growth, cost savings, and investment returns.

Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, process capability, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to develop high‑performing teams and influence cross‑functional stakeholders across global operations.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and decision‑making skills.
