KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced Facilities/Engineering Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the hospital's electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

You will collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to sustain safe, compliant facilities, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement across engineering projects and upgrades.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field. Certifications in Facility Management or Hospital Engineering are an advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities or hospital engineering, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with hospital systems and medical equipment is preferred.
• Experience with BMS or CMMS is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of hospital infrastructure incl. electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and quick troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate external contractors.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with hospital staff and vendors.
• Personable, responsible, mature, confident, and well-presented.
• Motivated with commitment to quality improvement.
• Excellent team player, coordinator, and facilitator.

Responsabilités

• Ensure efficient, economical operation of hospital buildings, facilities, assets, and equipment through planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Provide technical advice on operation and maintenance activities, system modifications, and upgrades, including documentation.
• Implement predictive and corrective maintenance per best industry practices.
• Maintain uptime and reliability of hospital facilities and critical equipment.
• Manage maintenance expenditures within approved budgets and plans.
• Establish performance monitoring for in-house and outsourced maintenance.
• Analyze monthly reports and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Propose equipment upgrades or replacements for cost-effective operations.
• Ensure modifications follow overall engineering philosophy and O&M methodologies.
• Formulate and test contingency and emergency response plans.
• Participate in projects from concept to design, budgeting, and compliance.
• Develop and review tendering and commissioning documents.
• Monitor performance indicators for continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
