Job summary

Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner of choice, helping brands design, build and deliver innovative products. We are hiring a Buyer Direct in Prai, Penang to coordinate procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment.

You will maintain supplier relations, place orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery aligned with production plans. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and typically 2-4 years of procurement experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent is required.
• Typically requires 2-4 years of procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining relations with suppliers.
• Placing orders for raw materials and purchased parts according to production needs.
• Receiving and handling confirmations.
• Verifying purchase orders against production plans and shortages/open orders.
• Tracking shipments and expediting when necessary.
• Regularly checking stock levels to avoid overstock.
• Managing supplier price, delivery and quality expectations.
