Flextronics - The Flex Company in Prai, Penang, seeks a seasoned Purchasing Manager Direct to lead procurement of direct materials, parts, components, and equipment. You will manage a team, align delivery timelines with quality, and shape procurement strategies across the supply base.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and about 10 years in purchasing. You will drive supplier performance, implement Vendor Managed Inventory, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practices.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities for direct materials, parts, components and equipment.
• Direct and coordinate personnel involved in procurement to align with delivery timelines and quality specs.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices; review POs and contracts for conformance to policy.
• Manage sourcing of new supply bases for competitive pricing, quality and reliability.
• Monitor supplier deliveries, inventory turns, and cost performance; escalate issues to senior management.
