Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related disciplines.
• Min 5–10 years in industrial automation, digitalization, or system integration.
• Experience delivering software implementations or digital transformation projects across multiple industries.
• Knowledge of MES, APM/Predictive Analytics, Asset Information Management, Industrial AI, and Digital Transformation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architectures for digital transformation initiatives (SCADA, data platforms, analytics, operational intelligence).
• Lead and coordinate software implementation projects from initiation through commissioning and handover.
• Provide technical leadership during solution development and implementation.
• Engage customers throughout sales and project lifecycles, including presentations, workshops, and demos.
• Support opportunity qualification, proposals, and tender submissions.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Solution Senior Engineer to support the growth and execution of our industrial digitalization business in Malaysia. The role combines deep technical expertise in Industrial Software solutions with the ability to engage customers, support business development activities, and successfully deliver digital transformation projects.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor to industrial customers while managing the execution of software and digitalization projects across various phases, from solution design and proposal development to deployment and post-implementation support.

The candidate will also be taking the lead as a program manager for the Flex Program deployed in Malaysia. Where the mission is to maintain ongoing client relationships, make sure contracted commitments are delivered, ensure the customer achieves the expected business outcomes, and develop additional value through adoption, renewal and upselling.

This position requires a strong blend of industrial software knowledge and commercial/customer engagement capability, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.

What will you do?

Technical & Project Execution

Focus on AVEVA Industrial Software Solutions

• Develop system architectures for digital transformation initiatives involving SCADA, industrial data platforms, analytics, and operational intelligence.
• Conduct technical discovery workshops to understand customer operational requirements and digital maturity.
• Translate business requirements into scalable software architectures and solution designs.
• Produce technical documentation, functional specifications, testing plans, and deployment methodologies.

Digital Project Management

• Lead and coordinate software implementation projects from initiation through commissioning and handover.
• Support and manage project scope, schedule, risk, cost, resources, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Local coordination with multidisciplinary teams including software engineers, system integrators, operations personnel, cybersecurity specialists, and project managers.
• Support and monitor project progress and ensure successful delivery against customer expectations and contractual requirements.
• Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), user acceptance test (UAT), commissioning activities, and user training.
• Vendor coordination, management and resolution triage.

Technical Consulting

• Provide technical leadership during solution development and implementation.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through digital technologies, industrial AI, analytics, and data-driven decision making.
• Support integration between industrial systems.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives and adoption of emerging industrial software, AI and cloud technologies

Commercial & Customer Engagement

Customer Engagement / Customer Success

• Flex program lead - primary point of accountability for assigned customers for digital recurring services and ensure internal stakeholder in supporting the program.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
• Conduct presentations, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including:
  • Operations Managers, Plant Managers, Engineering Teams, IT Teams, Digital Transformation Leaders and C-level Executives

Business Development Support

• Support account managers and sales teams during opportunity qualification and pursuit activities.
• Develop technical proposals, solution architectures, effort estimates, and project execution approaches.
• Participate in customer meetings to identify opportunities for expanding software adoption and recurring services.
• Support tender submissions and technical bid evaluations.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Chemical, Mechanical, Process), Computer Science, Industrial IT, Information Systems or any other Related disciplines.
• Min 5-10 years of experience in industrial automation, digitalization, industrial software, or system integration.
• Proven experience delivering software implementation or digital transformation projects within: Water & Wastewater, Manufacturing, Energy, Infrastructure and Process Industries.
• Brings technical experience in Industrial Software portfolio, Industrial Data Infrastructure, SCADA and HMI Systems, Industrial Communication Protocols, Industrial Networking, Cloud Platforms (Azure / GCP / AWS), Industrial Cybersecurity, Data Analytics and Visualization, Digital Twin Solutions and AI-enabled Industrial Applications. Having experience in AVEVA will be preferred.
• Have knowledge in MES, APM / Predictive Analytics, Asset Information Management, Industrial AI, Operations Intelligence Platforms and Digital Transformation Frameworks.
• Strong technical curiosity and passion for industrial digitalization.
• Ability to bridge operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) environments.
• Excellent customer-facing and presentation skills.
• Strong project ownership mindset and execution discipline.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both engineers and business leaders.
• Highly collaborative and capable of influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Self-driven, resourceful, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia.
