Job summary

KPJ Healthcare in Malaysia is seeking a Radiographer in Diagnostic Imaging Services to perform imaging procedures (X-ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy) while prioritizing patient safety and image quality. You will supervise junior radiographers, assist the head of the department, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with ISO standards and hospital policies.

MHPS registration and a medical imaging diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Imaging or equivalent required.
• MHPS registration with Malaysian Healthcare Practitioner System.
• Proficiency in X-ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, etc.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS.
• Knowledge of contrast media administration and allergic reactions.
• Experience in radiation protection and patient safety.
• Knowledge of emergency response protocols.
• Clear, professional communication with patients and healthcare teams.
• Ability to perform quality control checks on imaging equipment.
• Ability to assess image quality and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Mentoring and supervising junior radiographers and trainees.
• Empathetic handling of anxious or pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Implement policies and procedures for Diagnostic Imaging Services in collaboration with management.
• Manage daily operations to ensure high-quality patient service.
• Assist head of diagnostic imaging in maintaining and managing radiology equipment.
• Support department administration and daily operations with Radiology Manager.
• Supervise and orient radiographers and trainees.
• Obtain high-quality images while minimising radiation exposure.
• Deliver excellent patient care to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygienic protocols within the department.
• Perform overtime and additional duties as assigned.
• Comply with Occupational Safety and Health regulations and wear protective gear as required.
• Engage in new service implementations and ensure ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and Hospital Accreditation compliance.
• Adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP) and BFHI Policy.
