Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Imaging / Radiography.
• Registered under Act 304 and Allied Health Professions Act 774.
• Fresh graduates accepted; 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Trauma Imaging, Mobile X-ray) according to protocols and requests.
• Apply radiation protection principles to protect patients, staff, and self.
• Prepare and educate patients, ensure comfort, obtain history, assess safety risks, and provide compassionate care.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and high-quality images, verify acceptability before radiologist review.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, perform daily checks, troubleshoot, escalate issues to Biomedical Engineering or vendors.
• Maintain infection control standards across imaging rooms and equipment per IPC policies.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, assist radiologists during contrast studies or specialised procedures.
• Update imaging documentation in PACS/RIS/EMR, ensuring accuracy of data and statistics.
• Report incidents to the Head Diagnostic Imaging Services with proper documentation and corrective actions.
• Guide junior radiographers and students in techniques, conduct, and safety protocols.
