Job summary

KPJ Kuala Selangor Specialist Hospital in Malaysia seeks a Radiographer to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging across X-ray, CT, MRI, and other modalities, while delivering patient-centred care within the Diagnostic Imaging Services.

You will educate patients, ensure safety and radiation protection, operate imaging equipment, document in PACS/RIS/EMR, and support the team with supervision of juniors and students. New graduates welcome; 1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging / Radiography Field.
• Registered under Act 304 and Allied Health Professions Act 774.
• New graduates accepted; 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Trauma Imaging, Mobile X-ray) according to protocols.
• Apply radiation protection principles to protect patients, staff and self.
• Prepare and educate patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and acquisition of high-quality images for radiologists.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, report issues to Biomedical Engineering or vendors.
• Maintain infection control standards in imaging rooms and on equipment.
• Support workflow by coordinating patient scheduling and assisting radiologists during procedures.
• Update imaging documentation in PACS/RIS/EMR with accurate data and parameters.
• Report incidents to Head Diagnostic Imaging Services and participate in corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to junior radiographers and students on techniques and safety.
