Job summary

Prokhas Sdn Bhd is delivering government IT web applications and platform services to improve public sector operations. This role focuses on operating and evolving a hybrid Kubernetes platform, ensuring security, reliability, and scalable resilience across on-site and cloud environments.

You’ll work with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to drive observability, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and continuously improve a hybrid Kubernetes platform (on-prem + cloud).

• Implement security guardrails and runtime hardening.
• Enhance observability with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Help implement, test, and refine disaster recovery and backup solutions.

You will be part of a cross-functional team working closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly improve how services are delivered and experienced at scale.

What you’ll do

Operate and continuously improve a hybrid Kubernetes platform (on-prem + cloud)

Collaborate with the team to evolve:

Kubernetes workloads, operators, and internal tooling

Security guardrails and runtime hardening

Observability (metrics, logs, alerts)

Help implement, test, and refine disaster recovery and backup solutions

Participate in troubleshooting, post-incident reviews, and reliability improvements

Take part in a shared on‑call rotation to support production systems, with clear runbooks and team support

Observability: Prometheus, Grafana (or similar)

Cloud: AWS (EKS, ECR, S3)

You don’t need to be an expert in all of the above — we value solid fundamentals and willingness to learn.

What we’re looking for

Hands‑on experience working with Kubernetes or container platforms

Comfortable operating Linux‑based systems and CI/CD pipelines

Practical experience with production environments

Working understanding of security, reliability, and operational best practices

Comfortable participating in on‑call rotations and incident response as part of a team

Enjoys collaborating, learning, and improving existing systems

Nice to have

Experience or exposure to Talos Linux

Familiarity with Flux or other GitOps tools

Experience operating PostgreSQL in Kubernetes (CNPG or similar operators)

Experience in platform, infrastructure, or SRE‑style teams

Prokhas An Overview:

Prokhas Sdn Bhd is a private limited company wholly‑owned by Minister of Finance, Incorporated (MOF Inc.) initially established to manage the residual assets of Danaharta after it closed its chapter on 31 December 2005. Danaharta was a success story on its own, where it had managed to achieve its NPL recovery mission during the Asian financial crisis and further assist to re‑energise Malaysia’s financial sector. Prokhas was then entrusted to continue Danaharta’s work and maximise the recovery value of the residual assets.

Powered by a workforce with vast experience in banking, credit and consultancy, Prokhas, of which the name is derived from the phrase ‘Projek Khas’ (Special Project) has now grown extensively and broadened its services into various industries to remain competitive and viable.

Prokhas’ core function has extended to management services, advisory services and consultancy services providing cost‑effective and strategic solutions by leveraging on existing infrastructure and resources and adopting best practices that is best suited for the client’s organisational framework.
