Job summary

SPEED (SPEED2U) seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead client-facing initiatives in Malaysia. You will drive project planning, execution, and deployment, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining high quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

The role requires at least five years in project management, strong communication, risk and budget management, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in project management, preferably within information technology or software delivery.
• Experience in managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, resources, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Prior experience in client support, production issue resolution, and project reporting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead project initiation and planning, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and feasibility.
• Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and timelines for structured execution.
• Coordinate deployment activities to ensure readiness and minimal disruption to users.

Client Support and Stakeholder Management

• Deliver high-quality support to key clients by ensuring seamless project operations, timely response to issues, and high levels of client satisfaction.


• Maintain clear, transparent, and consistent communication with stakeholders by providing timely updates on project milestones, changes, issues, and required decisions.


• Facilitate regular project status meetings to keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and aligned with project objectives, priorities, and expected outcomes.

Technical Solution Planning and Implementation

• Provide practical technical recommendations and solution options that improve operational efficiency, support innovation, and address business requirements effectively.


• Plan, design, and analyse software solutions by applying both functional understanding and technical expertise to ensure fit-for-purpose delivery.


• Integrate technical and application components to resolve complex business needs and support successful system implementation.


• Diagnose, coordinate, and resolve production issues promptly to maintain system stability, service continuity, and business confidence.

Project Planning, Execution and Deployment

• Lead project initiation and planning activities by defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and technical feasibility.


• Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure structured execution and successful completion of deliverables.


• Coordinate and oversee all required activities for application deployment, ensuring readiness, smooth implementation, and minimal disruption to users and operations.

Project Monitoring, Risk and Resource Management

• Use appropriate project management tools to track progress, monitor performance, and measure project outcomes against agreed objectives.


• Monitor project progress closely and escape potential delays, constraints, or critical issues to the Superior for timely guidance and decision-making.


• Identify project risks at an early stage and implement proactive mitigation actions to reduce impact on project delivery, cost, quality, and timeline.


• Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules effectively to ensure delivery remains within approved scope, timeline, cost, and quality expectations.

QUALIFICATION

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, or any related discipline.


• Professional certification in project management such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification would be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in project management, preferably within information technology, software development, system implementation, application deployment, or technical solution delivery.


• Experience in managing project scope, schedule, budget, risks, resources, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders is required. Prior experience in client support, production issue resolution, and project reporting will be an added advantage.
