Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Developer to join our Cards & Payments technology team. You will build secure APIs, Spring Boot microservices, and work with Axway API Management.

The role requires 4-6 years in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and Axway API Management to support high-volume payment transaction flows and ensure compliant integration across the payment ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong SQL/database development skills.
• Hands-on experience with Axway API Gateway / API Management.
• Good experience in REST APIs and Microservices.
• Understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, throttling, and monitoring.
• Experience in Cards & Payments, Banking, or Financial Services is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using Java/Spring Boot.
• Design and manage APIs using Axway API Gateway / API Management.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database structures.
• Support payment processes including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Configure API security policies including authentication, authorization, throttling, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Infrastructure, and Security teams.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing secure and scalable APIs, building Spring Boot microservices, supporting high-volume payment transaction flows, and ensuring reliable and compliant integration across the payment ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using Java/Spring Boot.
• Design and manage APIs using Axway API Gateway / API Management.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database structures.
• Support payment processes including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Configure API security policies including authentication, authorization, throttling, and monitoring.
• Integrate backend services with Cards & Payments platforms.
• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for critical services.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production releases and post-deployment validation.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong SQL/database development skills.

• Good experience in REST APIs and Microservices.
• Understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, throttling, and monitoring.
• Experience in Cards & Payments, Banking, or Financial Services is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of transaction processing and production support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
