IT Application Support – Middleware / ESB / API Management
To deliver business projects system planning, procurement, development and implementation within agreed scope, cost and timeline.
To manage Middleware, ESB and API Management platforms supporting critical banking integrations.
To coordinate stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to deliver secure and resilient integration services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Requirement analysis and solution review for integration initiatives.
- Manage environment readiness, SIT, UAT and production deployment activities.
- Support Middleware, ESB and API platforms across development, test and production environments.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve integration incidents within agreed SLA.
- Monitor platform health, performance, capacity and availability.
- Review API designs, service contracts and integration architecture compliance.
- Manage changes to application and integration objects ensuring system integrity.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory and audit requirements.
- Coordinate platform upgrades, patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage project timelines, risks, issues and vendor deliverables.
Knowledge & Experience
- Good knowledge of SDLC and project delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with ESB and integration platforms such as IBM ACE/IIB, MuleSoft, WSO2, TIBCO, Oracle SOA Suite, Red Hat Fuse or similar.
- Strong understanding of SOA, Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience with API Management platforms such as Apigee, IBM API Connect, Kong, WSO2 API Manager, MuleSoft API Manager or Azure API Management.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, TLS/mTLS and API Gateway security controls.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, JMS, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT and JSON transformations.
- Experience supporting banking, payments, AML, card or financial services systems.
- Exposure to AMLA iMatch or other AML solutions is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix, SQL databases, Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, ELK, Grafana or AppDynamics.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Middleware, Integration or API Management roles.
