Job summary

iSoftStone seeks a hands-on Software Engineer based in Singapore to drive API integration, smart routing, and AI-powered orchestration across banks, exchanges, PSPs, and external financial platforms.

Role focuses on scalable API connectivity, intelligent routing services, and AI-driven operational capabilities to support high-volume financial flows. Strong backend and AI exposure required, with cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering or backend development experience.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, Webhook integrations, API troubleshooting, Distributed systems integration.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies.
• Familiarity with API authentication and security mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, API keys, HMAC / RSA signatures.
• Good understanding of API gateway, routing, orchestration, or middleware concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL databases, logging and monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integration with external financial and operational platforms.
• Build reusable API connector frameworks and middleware components for scalable partner onboarding.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, webhook handlers, callback processing, and integration services.
• Implement secure API authentication and communication mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, HMAC, and RSA signature verification.
• Develop intelligent routing capabilities for payment and fund movement across multiple channels.
• Build routing and orchestration logic based on API health, latency, success rate, cost optimization, liquidity availability, and constraints.
• Implement retry, failover, fallback, and resiliency mechanisms across partner channels.
• Support workflow automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Support development of AI-powered operational and engineering capabilities.
• Build or integrate AI-driven workflows for API monitoring, intelligent alerting, operational automation, smart channel recommendation, failure analysis, knowledge assistance.
• Participate in Generative AI and Agentic AI related initiatives including LLM integrations, AI workflow automation, AI-assisted operations, AI agent frameworks, AI tool integrations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to explore AI-driven productivity and operational improvements.

Software Engineer (API Integration & AI Orchestration)

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer based in Singapore to drive API integration, smart routing, and AI-powered orchestration capabilities across banks, exchanges, payment service providers (PSPs), and external financial platforms.

This role will focus on building scalable API connectivity infrastructure, intelligent routing services, and AI-driven operational capabilities to support high-volume financial transaction flows across multiple channels.

The ideal candidate should possess strong backend engineering and API integration experience, with practical exposure to Generative AI, Agentic AI, automation systems, or LLM-enabled workflows. The role requires strong ownership, execution capability, and the ability to work closely with business, operations, infrastructure, and external partners in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

API Integration & Connectivity

• Design, develop, and maintain integration with external financial and operational platforms
• Build reusable API connector frameworks and middleware components for scalable partner onboarding.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, webhook handlers, callback processing, and integration services.
• Implement secure API authentication and communication mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, HMAC, and RSA signature verification.

Smart Routing & Automation

• Develop intelligent routing capabilities for payment and fund movement across multiple channels.
• Build routing and orchestration logic based on API health,Latency,Success rate,Cost optimization, Liquidity availability,Operational constraints etc.
• Implement retry, failover, fallback, and resiliency mechanisms across partner channels.
• Support workflow automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Support development of AI-powered operational and engineering capabilities.

API Gateway & Monitoring

• Support API gateway capabilities including authentication, access control,traffic management,logging and observability,rate limiting, monitoring and alerting etc.
• Build monitoring dashboards and operational metrics for external API health and transaction visibility.
• Support production troubleshooting and operational issue resolution.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product,Operations,Compliance,Infrastructure teams, and External partners and vendors.
• Participate in technical discussions, integration onboarding, certification, and production rollout activities.
• Support fast-paced delivery and platform scalability initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
