Job summary

Experian, a global data and technology company, is seeking a Developer in Malaysia to contribute to software development and maintenance. You will work in an Agile environment, gaining hands-on experience with .NET, cloud technologies, DevOps, and AI-assisted development, reporting to the Lead Architect.

Requirements include a degree in CS/Software Eng and 1–3 years of hands-on C#/.NET experience, with familiarity in RESTful APIs, SQL Server, NoSQL databases, and cloud-native development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with C# and .NET (1–3 years).
• Foundations of RESTful APIs, OOP, data structures and algorithms.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, Azure, and DevOps is beneficial.
• Awareness of Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications per requirements and quality standards.
• Participate in Agile delivery and CI/CD initiatives.
• Collaborate with leads to estimate effort and plan work.
• Report to the Lead Architect and contribute to scalable, observable distributed systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Developer, you will contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications that support business and customer needs. You will work with experienced team members, participate in Agile delivery, and build practical experience in .NET, cloud, DevOps, and AI-assisted development.

What We’re Looking For:

• To develop and maintain software programs accordance to the requirements and specifications within established and defined quality and performance standards within agreed timelines.
• You will be participating in initiatives that improve processes that contribute to performance effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Participating in consultation with development Leads in estimating effort for work assigned.
• You may also perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• You will be reporting to the Lead Architect
• Familiar with modern software development tools, cloud technologies, and Generative AI concepts, including AI assisted development tools and the integration of AI capabilities into applications, will be beneficial.

More About You

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of hands‑on experience with C# and .NET, gained through working experience.
• Foundation of RESTful APIs, OOP, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, NoSQL databases, Microsoft Azure, and cloud-native development.
• Exposure to Entity Framework Core, SOLID principles, design patterns, testing, Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps is beneficial.
• Awareness of Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience building scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems and debugging skills, with the ability to evaluate solutions and translate our requirements into practical technical outcomes.
• Interest in modern software development practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud native development.
