Job summary

Experian Asia Pacific is seeking a software engineer to join our hybrid team in Cyberjaya. You will develop full‑stack solutions, build modern front‑end interfaces with JS frameworks, and design robust RESTful APIs backed by databases.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, write clean, secure code, and contribute to automated tests and CI/CD pipelines. Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and an agile mindset are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience including full-stack development.
• Experience with front-end JS frameworks and Java back-end, RESTful APIs, and cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Build full stack applications/services and modern UI, APIs, and database components.
• Write clean, secure, maintainable code and implement automated tests.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, testing, and documentation.
• Report to the Software Engineering Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Adopt modern engineering practices and CI/CD workflows.

Job Description

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Build full stack applications/ services.
• Build modern user interfaces, APIs, and database components.
• You will need to write clean, secure, maintainable code and improve quality standards.
• Develop automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, testing, debugging, and documentation activities.
• You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support and Consulting teams to deliver shared outcomes.
• You will use modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

What We're Looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least three years of software engineering experience, including full-stack application development.
• Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
• Experience developing Java back-end solutions, including RESTful APIs, ORM technologies such as Hibernate or JPA, and non-relational databases.
• Experience working in Agile teams and deploying applications to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, using Git or Bitbucket for source control, automated testing, and Maven or Jenkins for build and CI/CD processes.
