Job summary

Southern Concrete Sdn Bhd in Keramat Pulai, Perak is seeking a structural engineering professional to perform analysis, prepare drawings, and support production and construction teams. The role requires coordinating with clients, consultants, and authorities while ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements.

The candidate will assist in testing, certifications, and documentation, and contribute to developing structural systems, precast products, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations under the guidance of the Senior/Structural Engineer using relevant engineering software.
• Prepare structural drawings, details, design calculations, and technical documentation in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Assist in reviewing and compiling structural product and material specifications.
• Assist in liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities on structural and technical matters.
• Assist in identifying and resolving structural design, detailing, production, and development-related issues.
• Provide technical and structural support to production, quality control, and construction teams.
• Assist in coordinating and monitoring structural testing of products and materials, including reviewing and evaluating test results.
• Conduct research and assist in the development and improvement of structural systems, precast products, construction materials, and related applications.
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, drawings, submissions, and other technical documentation as requested by the Senior/Structural Engineer or Director.
• Assist in the preparation and renewal of structural-related certifications and coordinate with relevant third parties for approvals, testing, calibration, and inspections, including CIDB, SIRIM, and IKRAM.
• Conduct site visits and inspections where required to monitor structural works, product applications, and compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Assist the Senior/Structural Engineer in supervising and guiding technical staff and ensuring assigned tasks are completed effectively.
• Maintain proper records of structural drawings, calculations, test reports, approvals, certificates, and other technical documents.
• Ensure all structural works, designs, products, and materials comply with relevant federal, state, local, and industry standards, codes, specifications, and regulations.
• Perform any other structural engineering and technical duties as assigned by the Senior/Structural Engineer or Management.
