Job summary

WPG Malaysia is seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer to provide technical support for assigned product lines and help customers identify the right electronic components for their designs.

The role welcomes candidates from R&D, product development, technical sales/marketing, or field applications engineering backgrounds, including fresh graduates with strong electronics fundamentals and a keen interest in technical marketing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience preferred, in areas such as field applications engineering, technical sales/marketing or product marketing.
• Fresh graduates welcome if they have strong electronics knowledge and interest in technical marketing.
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.

Responsibilities

• Promote principals' focus products to the account base’s R&D engineers for design-in.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to meet design-in and design-win expectations for assigned product lines.
• Monitor customer design activities and maintain regular contact with customers.
• Attend training/seminars/exhibitions to stay updated on relevant product innovations.
• Conduct trainings/technical seminars to promote principals' products.
• Identify and cultivate potential new R&D accounts.
• Support field sales on technical inquiries and cross-reference with principals.
• Develop reference designs for the local market.
• Participate in other related projects/duties as assigned by supervisor.
