Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Technical and Design Engineer (Electrical Engineering) to lead technical and sales support in the region and direct research projects for product development. You will create CAD visualizations, develop prototypes, and assist in manufacturing process design.

The role requires strong CAD skills, engineering knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a technical engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of technical documentation and engineering principles.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and related engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual sketches and CAD visualizations.
• Develop patterns, samples and prototypes for products.
• Design manufacturing processes or assist production engineers.
• Determine assembly processes and create assembly instructions.
• Evaluate materials from suppliers and manage quotes for design work.
• Provide onsite technical support for builds and prototypes.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Technical and Design Engineer (Electrical Engineering )

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08.00am until 05.30pm) (1 Day Work-From-Home & 4 Days Work-From-Office)

Factory Location :PLO 217, Jalan Siber 10, Kawasan Perindustrian Senai,81400 Senai, Johor,Malaysia.

Position Summary:

This position will have theresponsibility to direct all technical and sales supports in the region and leadresearch projects on product specification or product development to satisfy customers' requirements and position as a premium provider on the market.

• Create conceptual sketches and CAD visualizations
• Develop, design and build patterns, samples, prototypes for products
• Design or assist production engineer with the design of manufacturing processes
• Determine product assembly processes, assembly order and create assembly instructions
• Evaluate, identify and select materials from suppliers
• Develop quotations and schedules for their portions of design with minimum assistance
• Provide onsite technical support for all manufacturing builds including engineering prototypes, NPI
• Perform ad hoc job assigned

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a technical engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of technical documentation, engineering principles, and project management.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools (depending on the industry).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with specific industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, etc.).
• Certification in relevant technical or engineering fields.
• Prior experience in troubleshooting and technical support for industrial systems.
