Job summary

TXMR NEXTECH SDN BHD is seeking an Assistant Design Engineer to transform ideas into drawings and detailed designs for various products and projects in Shah Alam, Malaysia. You will help turn concepts into manufacturable parts and machines used in industry.

The role involves prototyping support, working with fabricators, and collaboration with the installation team to ensure design integrity from conception to testing. Strong CAD and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Product Design or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• SOLIDWORKS skills would be an advantage.
• Drawing and design experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Transform ideas into drawings and technical drawings.
• Assist with prototyping and support design improvement.
• Liaise with fabricator for issues during assembly and testing.
• Support installation team regarding design and drawing.
• Prepare design documents and data related to discipline detail engineering.
• Edit and revise drawings when there are changes in design.
• Conduct tests, prepare reports and calculations to support projects.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve designs.
• Operate and manage 3D printing equipment for prototypes and parts.
• Prepare digital models for 3D printing, including file conversion and setting print parameters.
