Job summary

KTEC SDN BHD (KC ONG) in Penang, Bayan Lepas, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to apply engineering principles to real-world designs and machine development. You will contribute to design engineering, machine design, and product design, delivering reliable mechanical solutions.

You will use CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for 2D drawings and 3D models, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, report progress, and participate in on-site hands-on work.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with real-world design and machine development.
• Design Engineering and Machine Design experience meeting performance and reliability targets.
• Experience in Product Design translating requirements into manufacturable mechanical solutions.
• Hands-on CAD skills for 2D drawings and 3D modeling (SolidWorks/AutoCAD or similar).
• Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication, reporting and collaboration; willing to engage in on-site hands-on work.
• Experience in manufacturing environment; jig & fixture experience an advantage.
