Rooftop Energy is hiring a Design Engineer for the hybrid team building RooftopIQ. You will design screens and write production code so what ships matches what was designed, reducing handoff gaps and polish loss.

The role blends UI design with frontend development, offering ownership of components, templates, and end-to-end user experience. It is pitched at 1–3 years of experience and located in Damansara, Selangor, within a startup-like, fast-moving environment that values craft and impact.

Qualifications

• A live portfolio you can click through and evaluate.
• Proficiency in frontend code with React, TypeScript and CSS.
• Evidence of building interfaces without prompting (own projects or contributions).
• Genuine interest in craft: animation, spacing, accessibility, user feel.

Responsibilities

• Keep the shared component library healthy and consistent across products.
• Build templates and lightweight tools to speed up prototyping by non-designers.
• Polish details: button behavior, menu states, loading feedback for a polished product.
• Collaborate with other teams to design and build user-centered solutions.
