Job summary

Electrolux Group in Malaysia seeks a frontend engineer to join SHAPE, the design system, delivering shared components and documentation across Web, Mobile, and Appliance experiences.

You will work with designers to translate visuals into code, uphold accessibility, and drive frontend initiatives within a cross-functional team. This is a hybrid, full-time role based in Petaling Jaya with opportunities for learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Frontend engineering experience delivering and maintaining shared assets such as components, tokens, patterns, and documentation.
• Strong collaboration with designers to translate design intent into code visually and functionally.
• Good practices in code quality, accessibility, and agile development.
• Solid React skills and familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience maintaining open-source libraries or internal tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Join a cross-functional design system team supporting Web, Mobile, and Appliance experiences via SHAPE.
• Drive the engineering side of Web, creating assets to boost adoption and collaborating with Mobile and Appliance engineers.
• Lead and deliver the frontend portion of the design system.
• Improve the design system by supporting other engineers and strengthening cross-team collaboration.
• Create accessible design system assets and continually improve them per best practices.
• Align the design system with company goals to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Participate in stakeholder sessions to ensure system scalability and strong relationships.
• Explore AI-assisted development workflows to enhance quality and developer experience.
