Job summary

CPI (Penang) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a capable Senior Designer to translate product drawings into feasible tooling designs and coordinate with customers on DFM discussions. The role requires CAD/CAM experience and GD&T knowledge within a manufacturing setting in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Responsibilities include daily design tasks, assisting in new product DFMs, and supporting project teams with product design and tooling drawings.

Qualifications

Minimum diploma or degree holder.
Experience in CAD/CAM is an advantage.
Some GD&T knowledge.
Able to communicate, read and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

To carry out design work based on product drawing/ diagram.
To complete all job assigned by the Senior Designer on daily basis.
To prepare new products DFM assigned by Senior Designer for customer discussion
To attend customers DFM meeting for product design discussion
To support Project Team on all new/existing project with the product design.
To review customer product design; to ensure the product design is feasible for tool making and production processes. Provide counter proposal if needed.
To perform a Mould flow analysis
Assist in tooling drawing
