Job summary

Exentec Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Design Engineer to design chemical dispense systems per customer specifications and the Kinetics engineering footprint. You will release designs to production per ISO SOP and prepare BOMs and docs.

Responsibilities include material selection, system sizing, and ensuring maintainable, safe, and eco-friendly designs for production readiness, with collaboration across project and production teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of related working experience.
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor and SolidWorks.
• Familiar with Autodesk Vaults PDM and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Design products meeting customer specifications and criteria.
• Select materials, size systems, and define operation sequences.
• Ensure designs are user-friendly, maintainable, safe, and environmentally friendly.
• Release designs to production as per ISO SOP.
• Create BOM and release to procurement.
• Attend to customer technical issues and respond to requests.
• Liaise with project and production teams for smooth production.

Job description

The Design Engineer reports to Design Lead Engineer and is responsible for designing the chemical dispense system or any miscellaneous products as per customer specification & Kinetics engineering footprint. The design engineer is also responsible for ensuring all design releases to production as per ISO SOP as well all handover documents such as drawing, operation and maintenance manuals and material datasheets submission at committed timelines.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Design Engineer is responsible to design the product that meeting the customer specification & criteria that includes material selection, system sizing and system operation sequences.
• The design engineer needs to ensure the product is being designed and built as user friendly as possible with deep consideration for easy maintenance, less human hazard, better uptime as well as environmentally friendly yet cost effective.
• The design engineer also required to ensure all designs as per Kinetics engineering footprint as well as the design release to production as per ISO SOP.
• To ensure design follow the ISO SOP Kinetics design footprint along the design process.
• To ensure all design complete the design for production release as per the committed timeline.
• Perform other related duties as and when required.
• To design system/product that meet customer specifications, budget& criteria

• To attend to all incoming technical and engineering issues from customers
• To respond to all customer technical requests
• To liaise with project & production team to ensure smooth production.
• To create bill of material (BOM) and release to procurement

III. QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess minimum a Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 2-3 years of related working experience.
• The lead design engineer must have basic knowledge in chemical & mechanical engineering and to demonstrate a good working attitude & communication skill.
• The design engineer must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
• Usage of design software especially AutoCAD, inventor & Solidworks
• Familiarity in Autodesk Vaults PDM
• Other applications such as Microsoft Word,
