Job summary

Excel Metal Industries is seeking a Design Engineer to prepare and develop detailed steel fabrication drawings for projects based in Kulai, Johor. You will interpret engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements, and prepare BOMs to ensure precise fabrication.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 1 year in steel fabrication or related fields. Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in steel fabrication or metal works.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed steel fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specs and customer requirements.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with production, project, and sales teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Revise drawings based on customer feedback.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in Indahpura, Kulai area.
