Job summary

Meya Dental Sdn Bhd. is seeking a proactive dental nurse to support dentists during treatments, prepare patients, manage charts, and help maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork and communication skills, be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with Mandarin an advantage. Comprehensive paid training is provided for those without prior experience, and a friendly, patient-focused approach is required.

Job description

Responsibility

• Chairside Assistance: Assist dentists during dental treatments and surgical procedures by preparing and passing instruments, providing suction, and maintaining a clear operating field.
• Infection Control: Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols, including the proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments and equipment to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Patient Reception & Preparation: Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, record medical histories and measure vital signs when required.
• Dental Radiography: Take dental X-rays while ensuring accurate positioning, radiation safety, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Patient Records Management: Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and clinical progress notes while ensuring compliance with data protection and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and reschedule or cancel patient appointments as needed.
• Patient Communication: Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and post-operative care instructions.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish dental materials, instruments, and clinical supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Oral Health Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, dental hygienists, and other team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
