Job summary

MOXY Malaysia is seeking a talented, hands-on Demi Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Crew and help deliver fresh, high-quality dishes that keep guests coming back for more. You'll support the culinary team in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining standards across the kitchen.

You'll take pride in your craft, ensure consistency in every dish, and contribute to an energetic, collaborative kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food according to approved recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Prepare special meals and accommodate dietary requirements or substitutions.
• Ensure proper food portioning, plating, and garnishing to maintain consistency and quality.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and quantity throughout preparation and service.
• Regulate and operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, broilers, and roasters.
• Assist with food preparation, including cold kitchen items, mise en place, and ingredient preparation.
• Pull and thaw products safely according to food safety standards and procedures.
• Maintain food production records, temperature logs, and kitchen documentation.
• Communicate operational needs and support fellow team members during busy service periods.
• Inform the Chef of surplus food items and opportunities for daily specials or menu features.
• Communicate menu specials and out-of-stock items to the Food & Beverage service team.
• Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, food safety, and storage standards are consistently followed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Support inventory control, stock rotation, and waste reduction initiatives.
