Job summary

A recruitment agency seeks a Database Administrator (DBA) for their Kuala Lumpur office. The ideal candidate will manage and support Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases, ensuring operational excellence. Responsibilities include ticket monitoring, database performance tuning, and compliance with security guidelines. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle (Standalone +RAC/Cluster).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL (Standalone +Cluster).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MS SQL (Standalone +Cluster).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MYSQL (Standalone +Cluster).
• MS SQL Professional Certification
• 3+ years in Oracle (Standalone + RAC/Cluster)
• 3+ years in PostgreSQL (Standalone + Cluster)
• 3+ years in MS SQL (Standalone + Cluster)
• 3+ years in MySQL (Standalone + Cluster)
• Experience with cluster architecture and backups.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tickets and maintain database configuration.
• Ensure service level requirements are met.
• Monitor and maintain databases per operational procedures.
• Provide operational database support.
• Perform performance tuning and resource optimization.
• Maintain knowledge base to preserve database IP.
• Handle other DB related requests as needed.
• Provide operational database support.
• Follow security and audit guidelines.
• Maintain Data Guard and ensure DR in sync at all times.
• Monitor and maintain database backups.

Job summary

This Engineer, Database Service is responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of database administration to meet the business needs and service level for ORACLEplus another db flavourMSSQL / MYSQL / POSTGRES / Mongo. Provide 1st and 2nd level operational database support.

Job responsibilities:

• Monitor the tickets (SR, Incident, Change request) acknowledge timely and assist within agreed service level, maintain the database configuration & documentation; provide regular reporting to relevant parties.
• Ensure service level meet requirement. Prompt action and propose and implement action plan when required.
• Monitor and maintain databases according to standard operations procedures.
• Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
• Perform performance tuning and resource optimization as required.
• Maintaining a knowledge base to ensure database intellectual property is retained.
• Work on any other DB related requests as and when needed.
• Provide operational database support.
• Follow security and audit guidelines
• Maintain dataguard and ensure DR in synch all time
• Monitor and maintain database backups

Job requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• EDB Professional Certification
• Oracle Professional Certification
• MS SQL Professional Certification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle(Standalone +RAC/Cluster)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL(Standalone +Cluster)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MS SQL (Standalone +Cluster)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MYSQL (Standalone +Cluster)
• Extensive experience in managing common Database platform like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL & MongoDB including Cluster architecture
• Experience in performing database Patching, backup & recovery as well as excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skill is a must (Including cluster architecture)
• Implement Database hardening as per CIS Benchmarks.
• EDB Cluster management using EFM.
• Implement and manage Audit, Backup & Monitoring of DBs.
