Job summary

Oracle Corporation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Johor Bahru team.

This fully onsite, hands-on role involves working with servers, networking equipment, cabling and data center infrastructure to support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will install, move and replace hardware, perform rack-and-stack tasks, manage cabling, troubleshoot issues and maintain records. The position requires a willingness to work a 24/7 shift rotation, including nights and weekends,

Qualifications

• Experience in IT hardware, networking, infrastructure support, or data center operations.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
• Comfortable working with physical IT equipment and hands-on work.
• Experience with servers, cabling, networking hardware troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Basic Linux knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install, move and replace servers and other IT equipment.
• Perform rack and stack activities.
• Connect and manage fiber and copper cabling.
• Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
• Replace faulty hardware components.
• Support new hardware installations and deployments.
• Perform basic checks and maintenance of data center equipment.
• Keep records of completed work, equipment and spare parts.
• Follow data center procedures and safety requirements.
• Work closely with other technicians and engineers to resolve technical issues.
