Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Johor Bahru team. This is a fully onsite, hands-on role working with servers, network equipment, cabling and other hardware to support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

You'll install, move and replace servers, perform rack and stack activities, connect cabling, troubleshoot hardware issues and keep accurate records. Candidates with data center or IT infrastructure experience are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT hardware, networking, infrastructure support or data center operations.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
• Comfortable with physical IT equipment and hands-on work.
• Experience with servers, cabling or hardware troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Basic Linux knowledge is an advantage.

Job description

We are looking for a Data Center Technician to join our team in Johor Bahru.

This is a fully onsite, hands-on role. You will work with servers, network equipment, cabling and other hardware in our data center supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Previous data center experience is welcome, but it is not required. We are also interested in candidates with experience in networking, IT infrastructure, hardware support or other technical roles who would like to learn and develop in a data center environment.

What will you do?

• Able to work fully onsite in Johor Bahru.
• Able to work in a 24/7 shift rotation, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

• Screening call – an initial conversation about your experience, motivation and the role with talent advisor.
• Technical interview – a 1:1 interview with one of our engineers to discuss your technical knowledge and experience.
• Hiring Manager interview – a final conversation with the manager about the role and the team.
