Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Database Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage Linux-based database infrastructure across Oracle database platforms. You will automate provisioning, manage deployments, and collaborate with DevOps to ensure secure, scalable systems.

The role requires 5+ years in Linux or database infrastructure, hands-on with RHEL/OEL, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Linux Infrastructure, Database Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL/OEL).
• Experience supporting Oracle Database infrastructure and enterprise Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices.
• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and virtualization technologies.
• Good understanding of networking, Linux security, patch management, and system administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Linux infrastructure supporting enterprise database platforms.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
• Manage database server deployments, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

Database Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Infrastructure Engineer to manage and enhance Linux-based database infrastructure supporting enterprise database platforms. You will be responsible for Linux infrastructure automation, database platform support, system administration, security, and cloud-based deployments while working closely with database administrators, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Linux (RHEL/Oracle Enterprise Linux) infrastructure supporting enterprise database platforms.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.

• Manage database server deployments, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

• Support Oracle Database infrastructure, including server provisioning and operating system integration.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, cloud, and security teams to deliver reliable and secure platforms.

• Ensure compliance with security standards, patch management, and audit requirements.

Requirements
