Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Database Administration and general databases management.

• Experience with major RDBMS platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Familiarity with cloud-based database services and scripting or automation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Database Administrator role based in Selangor, Malaysia. The Database Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring database health, managing backup and recovery processes, implementing replication and high-availability solutions, and resolving performance and reliability issues. The role also involves creating and maintaining database documentation, collaborating with application and infrastructure teams on database design and integration, and supporting data migration, upgrades, and patching activities. The Database Administrator will contribute to continuous improvement by recommending best practices, automation opportunities, and enhancements to database operations.
