Job summary

HAVI TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Database Administrator to join our team. You will oversee the operational maintenance, monitoring, and support of enterprise databases to ensure availability, performance, and data integrity.

As part of a global tech community, you’ll collaborate with engineers across platform, SRE, and development teams, perform routine tasks like patching and backups, and contribute to secure, reliable database operations in a fast-paced, on-site/hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database administration or support experience.
• Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor enterprise database environments for availability and performance.
• Perform backups, patching, access management, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Senior Database Engineers, Platform Engineering, SRE, and App Development to ensure secure operations.
• Support production stability through adherence to standards and security policies.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur!

The Database Administrator (DBA)is responsible forthe operational maintenance, monitoring, and support of enterprise database environments to ensure availability, performance, and data integrity.

The DBA executes routine database management tasks including monitoring, patching, backups, access management, and troubleshooting, while adhering to enterprise standards and security policies.

The role supports production stability and collaborates with Senior Database Engineers, Platform Engineering, SRE, and Application Development tomaintainreliable and secure database operations.

THE SKILLS

• 3+ years of experience in database administration or support roles
• Basic understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Good analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
