Job summary

HAVI TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Security Engineer to join our team and support our ISO 27001 program. You will work with senior application, cloud, and OT security experts to grow into broader security engineering and architecture responsibilities.

This role offers hands-on security exposure across cloud, network, and endpoint technologies in a multinational manufacturing and logistics environment. Hybrid work 3 days in office, 2 days from home.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in cybersecurity or related technical roles.
• Hands-on with Azure, AWS, Windows/Linux, networking, IAM, endpoint security.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST CSF or CIS Controls.
• Understand vulnerability management, access control, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field.
• Experience supporting ISO 27001 audits or compliance.
• Exposure to cloud/app security, security architecture, threat modeling, OT security.
• Experience with Defender, Sentinel, Qualys, Tenable, CrowdStrike.
• Certs like Security+, SC-200/SC-300, AZ-500 desirable.
• Experience in multinational manufacturing/logistics environments.

About The Role

We are looking for a Security Engineer (ISO 27001 & Security Assurance) to join our TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur!

This role is ideal for an individual with a solid technical foundation who wants to expand their experience across multiple security disciplines. The successful candidate will help support our ISO 27001 program while working closely with senior application, cloud, and OT security experts. We are looking for someone who is curious, hands‑on, adaptable, and eager to grow into broader security engineering and architecture responsibilities over time.

The Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure engineering, systems administration, cloud engineering, networking, or related technical roles.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Windows/Linux administration, networking, identity and access management, endpoint security, or security tooling.
• Working knowledge of ISO 27001 and fundamental security frameworks such as NIST CSF or CIS Controls.
• Understanding of security concepts including vulnerability management, access control, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience supporting ISO 27001 audits, certifications, or compliance programs.
• Exposure to cloud security, application security, security architecture, threat modeling, or OT/industrial security.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Qualys, Tenable, CrowdStrike, or similar security technologies.
• Professional certifications such as Security+, SC-200, SC-300, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, AZ-500, or similar.
• Experience working within multinational, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
• Demonstrated curiosity, learning mindset, and interest in developing into broader security engineering and architecture roles.
