Job summary

Bank Negara Malaysia is recruiting for a senior IT infrastructure role focused on IBM iSeries administration, systems management, and application support. You will manage availability, disaster recovery, and performance while guiding technology refresh and security initiatives.

Role requires 3+ years in IBM iSeries administration, software development, and application support, with a strong mix of SQL/Oracle, Java, .NET, Unix, and cloud proficiency. ITIL knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering.
• At least 3 years in administration and support of IBM iSeries (AS/400) servers, software development and application support.
• Experience with cloud technologies is desirable; ITIL certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness of credit bureau systems with maximum uptime.
• Manage lifecycle of systems and server infrastructure with technology refresh carefully.
• Identify system capabilities and implement technologies to enable business outcomes.
• Ensure resiliency for high availability and performance of Bank's primary functions.
• Provide advisory input on system architecture to meet business demand.
• Conduct research and feasibility studies on infrastructure to enable faster business innovation.
• Lead improvement initiatives and benchmark against standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Remediate cybersecurity findings by patching middleware and refreshing outdated tech.
• Manage stakeholder services and ensure incidents are resolved promptly with no business impact.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure IT services add value and satisfaction.
• Keep abreast of technology to optimize Bank’s IT infrastructure and applications.
• Build relationships with external experts to benchmark and adopt best practices.
