Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Application Support professional to handle business user queries, incidents, and data-related tasks. You will analyze SQL and ETL processes, ensure timely incident resolution, and collaborate with development on production releases.

The role requires strong ITIL fundamentals, 5+ years in banking/finance IT, and hands-on experience with Teradata, Oracle/MS SQL, Unix/Linux, and Informatica. A keen eye for data quality and regulatory reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in application development and support in Banking/Finance, ETL, Data Warehouse and BI.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Windows, batch scheduling tools, database query skills, and BI tools.
• Strong understanding of banking products, regulatory reporting, and data lineage.
• Proficient in reading technical docs, data dictionaries and ETL job logs.
• Mandatory technical skills: Teradata, Oracle/MS SQL, Unix/Linux, AS400, Control-M, Shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support to business users and respond to queries promptly.
• Resolve incidents to meet service level targets and ensure proper closure.
• Reverse‑engineer user queries to identify data logic and source systems.
• Analyze complex SQL, stored procedures and data models for data lineage.
• Review ETL pipelines (Informatica, SSIS) and address data quality issues.
• Support data validation, reconciliation and root-cause analysis for reports.
• Collaborate with development for production releases and change management.
• Participate in DR/BCM activities and capacity management.
