Job summary

Beyondsoft Malaysia is seeking a backend-focused Platform Engineer to monitor and improve our data platform and infrastructure. You will develop backend services, support resource configurations, and perform first-line troubleshooting while coordinating with stakeholders to address operational risks.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of backend/DevOps/SRE experience, familiar with monitoring, logging, and production troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in backend development, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure engineering, data platform, or related roles.
• Basic to intermediate experience in backend development using Python, Java, Go, or similar.
• Experience with system monitoring, metrics, logging, alerting, or production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system health, service performance, and operational metrics using monitoring and observability tools.
• Develop and maintain backend services and platform features related to monitoring and operational capabilities.
• Support resource requests, allocation, configuration, and monitoring for data platform and infrastructure resources.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting of common platform and infrastructure issues using logs, metrics, monitoring tools, and SOPs; escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand resource requirements and communicate operational issues clearly.

Job description

• -Monitor system health, service performance, and operational metrics using monitoring and observability tools; support the development and maintenance of monitoring,dashboards,metrics,alerting,and related platform components.


• -Develop and maintain backend services and platform features related to monitoring and operational capabilities, and contribute to enhancements and continuous improvements within existing systems.


• -Support resource requests, allocation, configuration, and monitoring for data platform and infrastructure resources; perform routine maintenance to ensure platform stability and reliability.


• -Perform first-line troubleshooting of common platform and infrastructure issues using logs, metrics, monitoring tools, and established SOPs; resolve routine issues where possible and elevate complex or high-impact issues to senior engineers.


• -Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand resource requirements,support appropriate configurations, and communicate operational issues and potential risks clearly.

Requirements

• -Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.


• -1–4 years of experience in backend development, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure engineering, data platform, or related technical roles.


• -Basic to intermediate experience in backend development using at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or similar.


• -Experience or familiarity with system monitoring, metrics, logging, alerting, or production troubleshooting.
