Job summary

VAT Group is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines powering analytics and BI solutions. You will ensure data is accessible, reliable, and performant for cross-functional teams across our global IT footprint in Romania, Switzerland, and Malaysia.

The role emphasizes developing robust pipelines, data integration, and storage design with a focus on quality and scalability. Strong Python, PySpark, and SQL skills are required, plus Power BI experience and English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in data engineering or data infrastructure roles.
• Experience with Power BI and data pipelines, ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Experience with data lakes/warehouses and multi-source data integration.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL.
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting data systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, construct, and maintain robust data pipelines for analytics.
• Integrate data from multiple sources ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Design and manage data storage solutions (data lakes/warehouses).
• Optimize data processing and retrieval for performance.
• Implement and monitor data quality and system reliability.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers, business analysts, and IT stakeholders.
