Job summary

Rosado Tradeline Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to oversee costs, budgets and progress valuations on data centre and infrastructure projects in Malaysia. You will conduct take-offs, prepare claims, review subcontractor variations and support final accounts.

The role requires 3–5 years of QS experience, a degree in Quantity Surveying, and proficiency in Excel, Word and AutoCAD. Occasional travel to site will be required; join a team delivering mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Experience in Data Centre, building, infrastructure or construction projects is an advantage.
• Strong cost analysis and commercial management skills.
• Good knowledge of quantity take-off, site measurement, cost estimation, claims and Variation Orders (VO).
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Good communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
• Able to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, site measurements and progress valuations.
• Prepare and manage progress claims, Variation Orders (VO), EOT and cost claims.
• Review subcontractor claims, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Support preparation and settlement of main contract final accounts.
• Prepare contractual correspondence, notices and claims documentation.
• Identify commercial risks, cost overruns and potential claims, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project/site teams to verify work progress and measurements.
• Prepare monthly cost and commercial reports.
• Support the Contract Manager in commercial management, negotiations and dispute resolution.
