Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple facilities or data centre campuses.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical critical infra: UPS, generators, cooling, BMS/EPMS.
• Experience in commissioning, handover, incident management, RCA and business continuity.
• Mandarin proficiency for vendor/client communication.

Job description

Data Centre Operations GM | Mission Critical / 24x7 @ JOHOR

Oversee critical electrical & mechanical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, power distribution, cooling, BMS, EPMS and fire protection systems.

Lead Data Centre Managers, Engineers, Shift Leads, SMEs and technical operations teams.

Drive availability, uptime, operational readiness, maintenance, incident management and business continuity.

Establish and enforce SOP, MOP, EOP, change management and operational governance.

Lead RCA, corrective/preventive actions, risk management and emergency response for major incidents.

Support commissioning, integrated system testing, handover and operational readiness of new data centre facilities.

Manage key customers, contractors, vendors, service providers and internal stakeholders.

Drive operational KPI, reliability, energy efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.

Own manpower planning, OPEX/budget, vendor performance and operational compliance.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or related discipline.

15+ years' relevant experience, with significant exposure to Data Centre / Mission Critical / Critical Facilities / High-Availability Operations.

Proven senior leadership experience managing large technical / engineering teams and 24/7 operations.

Experience managing multiple facilities, a data centre campus or large-scale mission-critical environment.

Strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical critical infrastructure, redundancy, UPS, generators, cooling, BMS/EPMS.

Experience in commissioning, operational readiness, handover, incident management, RCA and business continuity.

Strong experience in customer, contractor, vendor and stakeholder management.

Commercial exposure covering budget, OPEX and manpower planning.
