Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Malaysia is seeking a Fire Protection System Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems within data centres. This role ensures all fire safety systems are fully functional and compliant to protect critical infrastructure and personnel.

You will perform routine inspections, respond to alarms, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, focusing on ensuring reliability and safety in data centre environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire protection systems in data centres or critical environments.
• Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and codes.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fire protection systems (e.g., fire alarm systems, gas suppression systems, sprinklers).
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor system performance and respond to alarms or faults.
• Troubleshoot and rectify issues to ensure system readiness at all times.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
• Support emergency response and incident investigations.
