Job summary

DayOne is seeking a Building Services Manager to oversee security and soft services across multiple data center buildings in Malaysia. You will lead security, cleaning, waste management, landscaping, pest control, handyman repairs, and front-of-house facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a data centre or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and experience managing security personnel.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures across all buildings.
• Manage security staff and ensure training and compliance with standards.
• Oversee access control, CCTV, and alarm systems in all buildings.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
• Respond to security breaches promptly and effectively.
• Oversee cleaning services and supervise cleaning staff.
• Coordinate waste management and recycling programs.
• Oversee landscaping and grounds maintenance across all buildings.
• Manage handyman repairs and front-of-house facilities operations.
• Liaise with external contractors and negotiate service contracts.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct safety audits.
