Job summary

INSPUR COMMUNICATION MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial and contract matters across data centre construction projects. You will review contracts, BOQs, variations, and payment applications to ensure cost control and compliance.

You will work with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams, prepare cost estimates, track progress, and maintain accurate commercial records to support project reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a related field such as Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Commercial Management.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial, quantity surveying, contract management, or construction projects.
• Experience in data centre construction projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, BOQ, cost control, variation orders, claims and payment processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation and coordination skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage for communication with Chinese-speaking project teams.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, BOQs, quotations, variations, claims, payment applications, and other commercial documents.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, subcontractor costs, and commercial performance to support cost control.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams on commercial and contractual matters.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders, cost estimates, claims, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and prepare regular cost, contract, and project progress reports.
