Job summary

NCS Solutions is seeking a hands-on Data Center Operations professional to install and manage servers, switches and storage equipment. You will perform fiber/copper cabling, hardware troubleshooting, and on-site incident support, coordinating with remote engineers for complex outages.

The role requires 5 years in Data Center/Infrastructure IT, familiarity with VMware vSphere, iLO/iDRAC, and ServiceNow, and the ability to work shift or on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in IT, Networking, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• 5 years experience in Data Center / Infrastructure / IT Support role
• Hands-on experience with server/network installation and cabling
• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow)
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLAN, switch ports)

Responsibilities

• Perform rack & stack installation of servers, switches, and storage equipment
• Install and manage fiber and copper cabling (RJ45, LC, SC connectors)
• Handle server landing and configuration support
• Perform decommissioning and hardware replacement as required
• Provide onsite incident & troubleshooting support and collaborate with L2/L3 teams
