Job summary

DayOne, a global leader in data infrastructure, seeks a Data Centre Operations Technician to lead shift teams, review equipment and system data, and drive improvements in BMS and power distribution. The ideal candidate has a mechanical/electrical engineering background, relevant certifications, 3+ years in data centre ops,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical/electrical engineering, automation, refrigeration, or related fields.
Valid high/low voltage operation certificates and air conditioning operation certificates.
3+ years as a data centre operations and maintenance technician.
Familiarity with UPS, generators, chillers, and related systems.
Knowledge of power distribution systems (HV, LV, UPS, chillers, fire protection).
Fault diagnosis and emergency handling capabilities.
Strong teamwork, learning ability, and self-improvement motivation.

Responsibilities

Team Ownership: supervise the shift team's work for smooth operations.
Review equipment inspections and on-site shift handover data; analyze events and faults.
Daily analysis of interface displays and data centre systems; suggest improvements.
Train according to SOP and EOP plans; assess training results; ensure SOP/EOP execution.
Record and analyze abnormal duty reports; summarize causes and solutions.
