Job summary

DayOne is a leading data centre company seeking a Shift Lead to head technicians on your assigned shift. You will supervise the team, guide daily operations, and ensure safety protocols and operating procedures are followed.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will prepare clear handovers, monitor critical services, coordinate with other departments, and support technical problem-solving. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT and 2+ years in data centre ops are required; 24/7 shift rotation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT or related field.
• At least 2 years of data centre operations or similar experience.
• Knowledge of data centre systems, safety protocols and compliance.
• Ability to work rotational shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift team and provide performance feedback.
• Oversee operations, monitor services and building systems.
• Prepare detailed handover reports for incoming shift.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with technical problem-solving with the support team.
• Identify process improvements and participate in training.
