Job summary

DayOne in Malaysia seeks a dedicated Shift Technician for its data center operations. This full-time role involves monitoring critical infrastructure, performing routine maintenance, and responding to alarms in a 24/7 environment.

You will work with a safety-minded team to ensure uninterrupted cooling and power, logging activities and coordinating with vendors to resolve incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center operations or facilities is a plus.
• Familiarity with facility systems and safety practices is helpful.
• Willingness to work 24/7 shifts and adapt to a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operations and maintenance of cooling, power, UPS, generators, and fire systems.
• Monitor facility performance using Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and log activity with vendors.
• Coordinate shift handovers and follow health and safety protocols.

A DayOne Data Centre Shift Technician role involves monitoring critical infrastructure, responding to alarms, and executing routine maintenance in a 24/7 environment. Key responsibilities focus on operations and maintenance, system monitoring, and incident response.

Operations and Maintenance: Maintain cooling, power distribution, UPS, generators, and fire suppression systems while executing preventive maintenance.

System Monitoring: Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to track facility performance, record data, and spot potential faults.

Incident Management: Respond promptly to system alarms, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, and log activity in the management database.

Safety and Collaboration: Follow strict health and safety protocols, report hazards, and coordinate smooth shift handovers with team members.
